LIFELONG BIRMINGHAM CITY FAN KEITH DIXON PAYS HIS PERSONAL TRIBUTE TO THE LATE, GREAT BLUES LEGEND...
THANKS, TREVOR

AS A committee member, I was at a Birmingham City Former Players' Association meeting on Monday morning, July 24 at St Andrew's when the news broke that Trevor Francis had died at his home in Marbella of a heart attack.

Everyone in the room was shocked at his premature death, including ex-players Malcolm Page and Kevan Broadhurst, honorary vice-president Mike Wiseman, FPA chairman Tom Ross, BCFC managing director lan Dutton, fellow committee members Pete Hall and Rob Shannon, and our guest Jeremy Dale, representing the new management team.

The new team under the leadership of Garry Cook, our new CEO and a lifelong Blues fan, immediately went into action and arranged a tribute area outside The Kop Stand so that fans could pay their respects to the most famous Birmingham City player of all-time.

Had it been a representative of the previous owners, the response would probably have been 'Who?'.

All Bluenoses have their memories of TF but I was fortunate to have spent two years in his company helping him write his book 'One in a Million'.
