The Southern Counties East League outfit are through to the last 32 of this year’s Isuzu FA Vase fourth round where they take on Cobham.
And King, who has held the reins at the Step 5 club for eight years, believes his side are now reaping the rewards of building the squad from a local base.
He said: “We’re a pretty settled squad and we’ve tried to build a squad in the last five years with players who have stuck with the club and played a lot of games for the club. We don’t recruit heavily as we can’t compete financially with some of our rivals.”
But it’s not just the Vase where King is hoping the club can flourish. After consecutive third and fourth-place finishes in the SCEFL, King is targeting promotion this season.
