JON'S DELIVERING THE GOODS AT 42

Challinor last tasted success when helping to steer York City into the Football League through the play-offs in 201112.

Now, at the age of 42, the former Rushden & Diamonds, Aldershot Town and Exeter City midfielder is back on the promotion trail after leading boyhood club Stamford to the NPL Midlands title.

These days, Challinor plays a utility role at the Zeeco Stadium under boss Graham Drury, but has become a pivotal player in the Daniels' quest to return to Step 3 after seven years away.

And it finally brings an end to a frustrating run of bad luck for the Lincolnshire side where a combination of the Covid hiatus and play-off heartache hindered the club's progress.
