Stamford started the game strong and created a number of early chances. A Connor Bartle corner fell kindly to Tendai Chitiza, but his snapshot was straight at Adam Harrison.
The Daniels took the lead in the 10th minute when the ball cannoned off a defender nicely into Chitiza’s path. Adriel George caught him with a late challenge and the penalty was given, with Rob Morgan sending Harrison the wrong way to roll the ball in.
Aram Soleman showed his pace but could only shoot wide from distance. Redditch were given their own penalty when Michael Armstrong was adjudged to have fouled Tyrell Skeen-Hamilton. Reece Flanagan smashed the spot kick high into Michael Duggan’s net.
