Warburton’s header after a quarter of an hour was enough for second-placed Moors to triumph in the first league meeting between these two Midland clubs. They remain the division’s only unbeaten side.
A relieved Solihull boss Andy Whing said: “I didn’t particularly enjoy the second half but it’s a fantastic result away from home. It was a nervy ending but obviously I’m delighted with the three points.
“I thought we were outstanding in the first half but we have a tendency in the second half to sink into our shape and invite pressure. We have defended a lot of crosses, set-pieces, long throws and they were dangerous all day.”
