The town is known as the home of The Tractor Boys but Wanderers matched their illustrious neighbours in rising up the pyramid last season and club secretary Wyatt believes they are well placed to build on that progress.
Wyatt was asked to get involved with Wanderers after coaching chairman Stephen Boyle’s son at youth side Achilles FC – and he was immediately impressed by the club’s ambition.
“He told me we were in a Step 6 environment, and the minimum would be to get to Step 4 within three years and the wider ambition is to try and get an Ipswich-based club into Step 2 [National League South],” he said.
