The Nash are coming off the back of a fine season in the National League North where they finished just three points off the play-off places.
As well as the highest point tally in this division, the most wins and best clean sheet record, Lakeland’s side also took League One Cambridge United to penalties in the FA Cup first round.
They were one of the most in-form teams around for the run-in as they mounted a late charge in the wide-open playoff race – and Lakeland wants to use it as a springboard for more.
“Curzon is always looked at from the outside as it’s little Curzon Ashton, it’s a nice place to go,” Lakeland told The NLP.
“But we’ve been in this league now for eight seasons. The club is well-established at this level of football now. It’s a good club. We’ve got fantastic facilities.
“We haven’t got a big fanbase but the supporters we do have are passionate about the club.
