His loyalty to the club that gave him his own first shot at playing is there for all to see and has now been rewarded, along with his services to business and charity Amid the historic grandeur of Windsor Castle - and accompanied by his wife Jytte and their three children Louisa, Ross and Emma Evans was recently knighted by King Charles himself to the Order of Saint Michael and Saint George.
Widely regarded as the man who helped save the Pirates in the 1990s, Evans has since contributed millions of pounds - on and off the field-to a club, which last season finished runners-up in the Championship.
