Anti Corruption Bureau's initiative recognised them for exposing bribery, supporting fight against corruption

Sandeep Kumar Chauhan, a 36-year-old sweeper with the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC), had always looked forward to the annual Diwali bonus. This year, however, the festive spirit was dampened when his senior, Bharatkumar Katakia, demanded Rs 1,600 in the name of distributing sweets to higher-ups. Unwilling to succumb to the illegal demand, Sandeep decided to take a stand. He approached the Ahmedabad City Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) which set a trap to catch the accused. On the day of the operation, Bharatkumar was caught red-handed accepting the bribe.
