6 held in card racket sent to 3-day police custody

They misused tech glitch on govt site to fabricate over 1,500 PMJAY and Ayushman health cards

Six accused in the scam involving the fabrication of PMJAY and Ayushman cards were produced in court on Wednesday and granted three days of police custody. The accused— Nimesh Dodiya, Mohammed Fazal Shaikh, Mohammed Asfak Shaikh, Narendrasinh Gohil, Imtiaz Havej, and Imran Jabirhussain—were arrested on Tuesday during Khyati hospital investigation. They are alleged to have exploited technical glitches on the beneficiary.nha. gov website and tampered with the source code for monetary benefits, fabricating around 1,500 cards.
