AMC rolls out SOP to deal with construction waste

The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) has rolled out a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to streamline the disposal of construction debris, reinforcing its efforts to maintain cleanliness across the city.

As part of this initiative, the AMC has designated 26 specific locations across seven zones where citizens can dispose of such waste for a nominal fee.

Under the new SOP, the dumping of construction waste - including debris, soil and demolition materials - on open plots, roads or any public spaces within the city is now strictly prohibited.
