Crime Branch has arrested Prince Mistry, a resident of Madhavpura and son of BJP leader Kanubhai Patel, for renting 75 cars and then mortgaging them without the knowledge of the owners to secure loans.
ACP Bharat Patel of the Crime Branch said they have recovered about 35 of the 75 cars and the numbers could go up as more and more victims are coming out against Mistry. He lured the car owners by promising them a monthly rent of Rs 30,000 to Rs 50,000.
