GSHSEB exams for classes 9, 11 to get more objective

On lines of updated format for classes 10 & 12, the new pattern will give more weightage to objective questions; aimed at reducing failure

The Gujarat Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education has announced significant changes in the examination structure for classes 9 and 11 starting from the current academic session.

Similar to the board exams for classes 10 and 12, a general option will now be available for classes 9 and 11. This means that 30% of the questions will be objective, and 70% will be descriptive, compared to the previous format of 20% objective and 80% descriptive questions.

The changes, being introduced as part of the New Education Policy, have been brought in three months after the commencement of the academic year.
