In 2023, a special POCSO court in Limkheda, Dahod district, sentenced a 32-year-old man to death for the murder and attempted rape of a two-and-a-half-year-old child in 2018. The court while delivering the judgment held that "sympathy in any form" in heinous crimes "would be misplaced and shake confidence in the criminal justice system".
