Post-monsoon illnesses like viral fever, diarrhoea, dengue, chikungunya and malaria register sharp rise
Over 10,000 fever cases reported

As the monsoon season comes to an end, viral infections, including swine flu, are on the rise across the city. Over 10,000 cases of viral infections have been reported, with both private and municipal hospitals overwhelmed by patients. Municipal Urban Health Centres (UHCs) are experiencing long queues for laboratory tests, with results for dengue taking two to four days.
