Union minister and BJP leader Parshottam Rupala on Friday once again tendered an apology for his critical remarks on erstwhile rulers of princely states which were seen as objectionable by the Kshatriya community, saying he never meant what he said.
With folded hands, Rupala, BJP’s candidate for the Rajkot Lok Sabha seat, sought forgiveness from the Kshatriya or Rajput community at a gathering of community leaders near Gondal town of Rajkot district and even his party faced criticism because of him.
The gathering was organised by influential Kshatriya leader and former BJP MLA Jayrajsinh Jadeja.
The Kshatriya community in Gujarat had taken strong objection to Rupala’s remarks on erstwhile rulers of princely states.
