Shastri Bridge repairs to take 6 more months

It’s a nightmare for Amdavadis using Shastri bridge, as one side has been closed for repairs for over six months now, far exceeding the initial three-month estimate. The bridge, connecting Vishala to Narol junction in the western part of the city, is a vital link to the Express and National Highway No. 8.

One side of the 43-year-old bridge has been closed since last June due to huge cracks and severe damage to the joints and expansion.
