Waterlogging woes strike western A'bad

Drainage overflow, waterlogging become recurring issues

Despite the city's progress, western areas such as SG Highway, Vejalpur and Gota continue to face severe waterlogging and drainage overflow during the monsoon season. Residents are frustrated by the recurring damage to their vehicles and properties as well as other inconveniences.

Dr Bharat Shah, a resident of Rajpath Rangoli Road, expressed his frustration: "Even with minimal rainfall, we face immediate waterlogging near our residences. The situation worsens when rainwater mixes with drainage water, creating an unbearable stink in the area. Over the past five years, I have had to spend excessively on both of my cars due to waterlogging damages."
