Runoff elections could give Far-Right National Rally a historic win or result in a hung parliament
French businesses fear political turmoil

Corporate leaders gathered on Friday and Saturday in the southern city of Aix-en-Provence for France's annual answer to Davos have been among the main beneficiaries of President Emmanuel Macron's probusiness reforms since he was first elected in 2017.

Far-Right and Left-wing parties want to roll back some of Macron's reforms, ranging from raising the retirement age to scrapping a wealth tax on financial assets.

Voting is underway in mainland France on Sunday in pivotal runoff elections that could hand a historic victory to Marine Le Pen's Far-Right National Rally and its inward-looking, anti-immigrant vision - or produce a hung parliament and political deadlock.
