Conservative candidate Aphra Brandreth is battling Labour in rural Chester South and Eddisbury.
She has a special connection with the area in that her father Gyles served as the MP for Chester between 1992 and 1997.
Her husband, veterinary surgeon Ian Stroud, was brought up close to the village of Cuddington, Eddisbury.
The Express joined the popular broadcaster's daughter canvassing in the village of Duddon, near Chester.
