REFEREES' tsar Howard Webb claims VAR has made only two errors in the Premier League this season with Bruno Fernandes' red card against Tottenham the most prominent.
Fernandes was sent off for a dangerous challenge on James Maddison in Manchester United's calamitous 3-0 home defeat by Spurs this month.
Unusually, referee Chris Kavanagh's on-field decision was upheld by VAR Peter Bankes but the red card was later rescinded by a disciplinary review panel on appeal.
And Webb, head of referees' body PGMOL, said: "Straight away I thought that would be an overturn and it wasn't. I was frustrated we didn't step in to rectify because it was clearly wrong.
"We've been better at hitting the mark but that can change and we're not going to get complacent.
