Marcus Arduini Monzo, 36, is also accused of seriously injuring two police officers during the 7am mayhem in Hainault, east London, on Tuesday.

Monzo, a "loner" who describes himself as a "mystic musician" appeared before Westminster Magistrates' Court yesterday accused of the murder of Daniel Anjorin.

He is also charged with two counts of attempted murder, two counts of grievous bodily harm, aggravated burglary and possession of bladed article

Flanked by four dock officers, the Spanish-Brazilian national wore a prison-issue grey tracksuit and held his left hand over his chest for the entire seven-minute hearing.

When asked to confirm his full name, he responded slowly: "My full name? As of my recollection it is Marcus Aurielo Audini." David Burns, prosecuting, said Monzo allegedly drove a van at Donato Iwule, who was walking along the street, before allegedly getting out of the vehicle and slashing him around the neck.

Collapsed

Monzo is accused of then forcing entry into the bedroom of a couple who were sleeping with their fouryear-old child and slashed the father Henry De Los Rios Polania as he tried to fend off the attacker.
