FINN RUSSELL has ditched meals out in favour of family nights in and claims he is in the shape of his life ahead of the Premiership season.
The Bath fly-half and partner Emma had their second daughter, Skye, last month, forcing a stop to restaurant visits.
Russell, 31, is more than a stone lighter than he was three years ago and took off more weight running around after his children this summer.
That will be welcome news to Bath, with their season starting next month, and potentially British and Irish Lions head coach Andy Farrell ahead of next year's trip to Australia.
Russell said: "In 2021-22 I was about eight kilos heavier than I am now, which probably shows where I was mentally.
