The 90-minute last-ever episode of the smash hit BBC sitcom kept viewers guessing with a plot twist that had Smithy preparing to tie the knot with a stuck-up girlfriend called Sonia rather than Nessa, who had proposed to him in a cliffhanger ending to the 2019 show.
But it all ended on a high with a laughterfilled wedding reception after Smithy, played by James Corden, left Sonia at the altar and instead popped the question to Nessa (Ruth Jones).
