A MAN told he is dying from an extremely rare type of cancer will make history by having a second multi-organ transplant... nine years after the first.

Adam Alderson, 43, was told nothing could be done ahead of his first operation in July 2015.

"They said they were sorry.

They disconnected my bowel, gave me a bag and a feeding tube and sent me home on palliative care with at best two years to live," he said.

But the proud Yorkshireman refused to give up. He insisted on a second opinion and found surgeon Brendan Moran in Basingstoke, Hants.
