Police stil probing ice hockey star's tragic death

DETECTIVES investigating the death of ice hockey player Adam Johnson are still probing how he died more than a year ago.

Police issued an update as a man arrested on suspicion of manslaughter was rebailed again following the fatal incident at Sheffield's Utilita Arena in October 2023.

Mr Johnson was playing for Nottingham Panthers against Sheffield Steelers when he was hit in the neck by an opposition player's skate in front of thousands of fans. His death shocked the ice hockey world.

The American, 29, inset, died in hospital and a post-mortem confirmed his cause of death as a neck injury.
