Anne, 73, spent five nights at the NHS Southmead Hospital in Bristol after being hurt while walking on her Gatcombe Park estate in Gloucestershire on Sunday evening.
She was not seen leaving the hospital yesterday morning and has returned to her country home near Minchinhampton, 30 miles away.
The hardest working royal will remain at Gatcombe to convalesce and only return to public duties when her doctors consider it safe, it is understood.
