LABOUR has backed the Conservatives' ban on puberty blockers after the High Court ruled the decision to do so was lawful.
Victoria Atkins, now the Shadow Health Secretary, imposed an emergency order on the medicines, which suppress natural production of hormones.
But campaign group TransActual and a young person, who cannot be named, challenged the decision, claiming it has a "very real human cost" on more than 1,000 under-18s and could lead to selfharm and suicide attempts.
