'Unchecked greed' a driving force for petrol prices

In the same month retailers were revealed to have overcharged drivers by £1.6billion last year, RAC data shows average petrol and diesel prices refused to budge downwards in July at 144.76p and 149.8p per litre.

This translates to nearly £3 a tank for petrol and £4.40 for diesel.
