DIOGO DALOT believes Manchester United's players owe it to their loyal supporters to lift the FA Cup tomorrow after such a shambolic campaign.
United finished the season eighth in the table, their worst position in the Premier League era, to miss out on automatic European qualification.
Despite such a wretched campaign, which included finishing bottom of their Champions League group, the fans have continued to support the underperforming players, even when they were humiliated 4-0 at Crystal Palace a fortnight ago and Dalot felt the team did not deserve their backing.
The United defender and his team-mates have the chance to atone by beating local rivals Manchester City in the final and end a dismal season by picking up some silverware.
Dalot said: "I'm going to be really honest with you. After that game against Palace, the way the fans were supporting us it was almost like a feeling we didn't deserve that.
