CHEEKY Tinsley-Rose Sisson is set to celebrate her third birthday after her parents were told their tot, who only has a half-sized heart, may not survive birth.

Kenny Sisson said: "We've always called her a little miracle.

"We were told she may only live for three days and now she's nearly three.

"We wonder if there's anything that is going to stop her from carrying on we just take every day as it comes."

He and Tinsley-Rose's mum Jamie Pearce, both 30, learned their baby had rare hypoplastic left heart syndrome (HLHS) at the 12-week scan.

It means the left side of the organ does not fully develop, halving the heart's overall size.

The couple were asked if they wanted to continue with the pregnancy given the short life their baby might have.

Kenny, of Northallerton, North Yorks, said: "The odds were against us from the start.
