THE air has become healthier since London's Ultra Low Emission Zone was enlarged.
The scheme, which penalises drivers of older petrol and diesel cars, was extended to cover Greater London last August.
Since then, levels of harmful pollutants have dropped significantly the equivalent of taking 200,000 cars off the road for a year, a City Hall report found.
London Mayor Sadiq Khan said yesterday: "Ulez is working even better than expected."
