Harry is now eyeing a World Cup spot after being called up to the ODI'squad

HARRY BROOK moved a step closer to an England World Cup call after being added to their ODI group for the New Zealand series.

The batsman had initially missed out on selection for the 15-man squad that was also listed as England's provisional party for the World Cup in India which starts on October 5.

But a series of eye-catching displays in the Hundred then in the T20 series has forced the selectors to rethink their options and they are now going to get another look at him in the 50-over game.

After Tuesday's T20 sixwicket defeat in Nottingham - which saw the series finish 2-2 coach Matthew Mott (above) confirmed the door was still open for Brook.
