THE popularity of the Elizabeth Line has helped Britain's busiest railway station keep its crown.
The 73-mile route, opened by the late Queen in May 2022, runs from Reading, Berks, to Shenfield in Essex, and calls at London Liverpool Street.
In a year, Liverpool Street's number of people entering and exiting has increased from 80.4 million in 2022/23 to 94.5 million in 2023/24.
