KEIR Starmer will promise a jobs revolution by getting Britain building again and offering parents better childcare.

Today the Labour leader reveals his plan to kickstart the economy, launching his election manifesto in Manchester, with wealth creation "our number one priority".

A party source said the manifesto's theme will be: "Change, change, change! Growth, growth, growth!"

Figures show the economy stalled in April and, in another crippling blow to the Tories' election hopes, the Bank of England is next week likely to freeze interest rates again.

Mr Starmer will say growing the economy at the level of the last Labour government would mean "an extra £70billion worth of investment for public services".

He will unveil plans to overhaul job centres, tackle health and mental health challenges and get more people back into work.
