MILLIONS of battling households face a jump of at least £240 a year in their must-pay bills from April.
A predicted £47 average rise in energy bills following an increase yesterday will come on top of confirmed uplifts in council tax, water rates and TV licences.
Mobile and broadband charges are also set to rise, along with regulated train fares from March.
Many retailers and other firms have indicated they will raise prices due to a hike in employers' national insurance from April.
