A COUPLE flew to Dublin for 10 hours because it worked out cheaper than a train ticket to London.
Jill, 51, and Keith McCormack, 57, were planning a day out in the capital but were shocked to find a return ticket from their home in Liverpool would cost £101, even with their Two Together railcard.
Instead, they decided to take a trip to Dublin, costing just £36 each with Ryanair.
They caught a 6.30am flight and were in the city centre by 9.30am.
Jill, a psychotherapist, said: "We wanted to go for London for the day.
