THE security guard accused of plotting to kidnap, rape and murder Holly Willoughby is a "sly individual" who had "terrified" women, a court has heard.

Gavin Plumb allegedly spent almost two years hatching his plan, but unwittingly shared it online with an undercover US police officer - telling him it was more than just a "fantasy".

In her closing speech, prosecutor Alison Morgan said Plumb knew why police had turned up to arrest him at his flat last October. She told the jury: "He is a prolific liar who has sought to minimise the extent of his criminality.
