TELLY star Angela Rippon says the prospect of becoming Strictly Come Dancing's oldest contestant at the age of 78 is "scary".
Angela yesterday was the first of three stars named for this year's show.
But she does not believe her age will get in her way, declaring: "I'm really looking forward to the challenge, and perhaps being able to learn the Argentinian Tango.
"Having been a fan of Strictly since day one this will be quite an adventure.
The former newsreader famously did a high-kick routine on Morecambe and Wise's Christmas show in 1976.
