WELL-WISHERS have flooded a knifed army officer's D-Day charity fundraiser with support after his attack sending donations soaring over £12,000.
Lt Col Mark Teeton raised more than £2,000 for a veterans' mental health charity with a 44-mile run he took part in last month.
But since his name emerged as the victim of Tuesday's stabbing near a barracks in Gillingham, Kent, donations have surged on his Combat Stress fundraising page.
By yesterday evening, the total had passed £12,000 smashing his original £1,750 goal.
