MARY EARPS says Manchester United's only focus must be winning trophies ahead of today's WSL derby showdown.

United, currently fourth, take on second-placed Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, with the Red Devils trailing their local rivals by 12 points.

Despite that gap, England goalkeeper Earps claimed United can no longer be viewed as a work in progress and must have the mentality they are ready to win silverware.

"It's not a project anymore," said BBC Sports Personality of the Year winner Earps. "Now we're talking about winning trophies.

"That's how it should be at a club of Manchester United's stature."
