THE parents of a 14-year-old girl appeared in court yesterday accused of murdering her.
Scarlett Vickers suffered a single stab wound to the chest at home, prosecutor Sarah Kemp told a magistrates court.
Paramedics were called to the address just after 11pm on Friday, the court heard, and Scarlett was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her parents Sarah Hall, 44, and Simon Vickers, 49, appeared before magistrates in police-issue tracksuits.
With Hall shaking throughout the five-minute hearing, her solicitor Georgia Snowden said: "There is a dispute over the facts of the case.
