BROADCASTING legend Sir Trevor McDonald says Prince Philip's driving was unhinged.
The former ITN news presenter said the Duke of Edinburgh drove him around while giving him a tour of the Sandringham estate.
Sir Trevor, 85, added: "I am not allowed to say this publicly but I thought his driving was slightly mad.
"He was extraordinarily generous in giving me his time like this.
"But he put me in this super duper thing... we're driving around, it was around Sandringham, so there was nothing in his way, and he would stop and wave to people who worked there and so on.
