Mum's plea to daughter before 'murder by her violent fiance'

BY HOLLIE BONE A MUM told her daughter to "run a mile" before she was allegedly driven to suicide by her ex-fiance who she claims had threatened to throw acid at her, a court has heard.

Kiena Dawes, 23, took her own life after she was allegedly subjected to a campaign of abuse by her partner Ryan Wellings, jurors were told.

The mother of one was found dead on a railway track near Garstang, Lancashire, on July 22, 2022.

The hairdresser, from Fleetwood, had vanished earlier that day after leaving a suicide note on her phone that said she had been "murdered" by Wellings.

She suffered multiple injuries when she was struck by a train at 110mph.
