A "DARK secret" is the key to solving the murder of Melanie Hall, the officer leading the hunt believes.
Supt James Riccio is convinced someone in the city of Bath knows what happened to the 25-year-old hospital worker nearly 30 years ago.
She was last seen sitting on a stool near the dancefloor of what was Cadillacs nightclub at 1.10am on June 9, 1996.
Her remains were not found until October 2009, in a bin bag near the M5 motorway in Thornbury, Glos.
Speaking outside the old Cadillacs building, Supt Riccio has renewed his appeal for information.
He said: "In Bath, there is someone who holds a dark secret. Whether that's whoever killed Melanie or knows who killed Melanie - and we need those people to come forward.
