RISHI Sunak vowed to support Israel in its "darkest hour" after meeting families of British hostages seized by Hamas yesterday.
Standing alongside Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Mr Sunak told him: "We want you to win" as the regime's forces prepare for an expected ground war in Gaza.
The Prime Minister admitted he was "chilled" by footage of Hamas terrorists rampaging through kibbutzim and the Nova music festival.
He added: "Everyone could see they represent pure evil and it's right that Israel exercises its right to self defence. It has the duty to protect its citizens and ensure something like this can never happen again."
Mr Sunak landed in Tel Aviv aboard an RAF warplane. He met relatives of two UK citizens held captive by Hamas following its attacks on October 7.
The PM said: "We are doing absolutely everything we can to get them home." He was pictured on social media hugging a woman, who was not identified.
