Three are family

WHEN Lorraine Williams put her details into a DNA website in Canada, she had no concept that she might soon be meeting not one but two half-siblings in England.

Jimmy McLoughlin, 77, and Josephine Morey, 75, were equally shocked when Lorraine, 74, tracked them down.

The father of all three, Arthur Sydney John, known as Sydney, first had a fling with James's mother in 1946 after he moved to Liverpool for work.

Jimmy said his mother left him on the doorstep of an orphanage at three weeks old. He spent the first three years of his life in hospital before being put into care but was never adopted.

Two years later, Sydney met Josephine's birth mum, also in Liverpool.

The pair broke up when Josephine was two and she ended up in foster care, with the help of Barnardo's.
