Olek's baby blues after missing birth while training for delayed Fury clash

OLEKSANDR USYK should have been pacing the corridors of a Kiev hospital instead of preparing to fight Tyson Fury.

The heavyweight world champion's wife Yekaterina fell pregnant with the couple's fourth child early last year.

And with her husband's undisputed clash with Fury pencilled in for two days before Christmas, she believed he would be home to support his expanding family.

But Fury's lackluster performance against Francis Ngannou last October forced him to push back the richest fight in boxing by a further two months.

That left 37-year-old Usyk holed up in his Spanish training camp while his daughter Maria was born - five days before Fury pulled out of the fight which has now been rescheduled for May 18.
