THE two British men who put up missing teen Jay Slater the night before he went missing have been urged to come forward.
TV sleuth Mark Williams-Thomas, now working for Jay's distraught family in Tenerife, says they could help solve the mystery.
The former detective, 54, who has probed a string of high-profile missing persons cases, said: "I need to speak to those people because they are the last people, other than the owner of the holiday rental, that saw Jay.
"I believe they have crucial information that may enable us to find out what has happened to Jay."
The pair are understood to have flown back to Britain last week - days after Jay's disappearance.
Mr Williams-Thomas made the plea during a press conference on the island where apprentice brickie Jay, 19, went missing on June 17.
He also announced the opening of a new hotline number for the public to call with information.
BARS
Speaking as the search and rescue operation to find Jay entered its 10th day, he added: "They were in the bars of the strip area, certainly for two days, they mixed with Jay and Jay's group of friends that were there.
"They spent time in bars there, they say they drank Hennessy, which was their preferred drink.
"I know the nickname of one of those individuals. I have a photograph of that individual.
