NOVAK DJOKOVIC set a male record of 23 Grand Slam triumphs - and immediately set his sights on No.24.
The Serbian superstar beat Casper Ruud to claim his third French Open and go ahead of Rafa Nadal and Roger Federer in the GOAT race for the first time.
Djokovic, 36, said: "I feel incredibly proud, fulfilled. But I am very motivated to continue to make history. I am not finished. The journey is still not over. I feel that age is just a number.
"If I'm winning Slams, why even think about ending the career that already has been going on for 20 years? I still feel motivated, I still feel inspired to play the best tennis in the Grand Slams. Those are the ones that count the most in our sport. Now I want to win Wimbledon.
The career of the seven-time Wimbledon winner has never been far from controversy. He was disqualified from the 2020 US Open for hitting a line judge with a ball and then got deported from Australia last year after entering without a Covid jab.
